Art and rig are two separate jobs
A Live2D model is made in two steps. First the character is drawn and split into layers: that’s the art. Then those layers are brought to life in Live2D Cubism: that’s the rig. The price is the sum of the two. You can order both together, or just the rig if your art is already done.
In my price list the two parts are about the same size. A Base halfbody, for example, is $150 for the art plus $150 for the rig. The art price is for drawing a design that’s already settled: if the character still has to be designed, the concept design is priced separately.
Halfbody, fullbody or chibi
- Halfbody: waist up. It covers what a stream camera usually shows.
- Fullbody: full height. There’s more to draw and more to rig (legs, the whole outfit, more physics), so it costs more.
- Chibi: a small, simplified version of your character. The most affordable way to get a moving model, and it works well as a second model too.
Base or Advanced
Base covers everything a model needs to stream: head and body turns on XYZ, basic face tracking, a mouth rig, breathing, hair and clothing physics and 3 expressions. Advanced means more parameters driving each part of the rig and more layers in the art. You get deeper head turns, leaning and stepping motion, more expressive eyes and brows, and extra hip and hand physics. You can compare the two in motion.
Example prices
My current prices for a complete model, art and rig together:
| Model type | Base | Advanced |
|---|---|---|
| Halfbody | $300 | $800 |
| Fullbody | $500 | $1,000 |
| Chibi | $250 | $600 |
If you already have the art, a rig on its own starts at $150. See the rig-only commission.
Add-ons
Extras are priced on top of the model. A few examples from my list:
- Extra outfit: $200, art and rig
- Extra hairstyle: $100
- Extra static expression: $20; animated expression: $40
- Sleep animation: $40
- Removable clothing toggle: $5 per item
- VBridger (ARKit face tracking on an iPhone): $50
The full list is on the Live2D page.
What else changes the price
The final price is set after we discuss the brief. It goes up with a complex design, lots of small details, a bigger rig or more complex physics, extra expressions and toggles, extra outfits, hairstyles or accessories, and unusual features. There are also three surcharges:
- Rush order: +25%
- Private order (NDA): +20%
- Commercial use (merch, ads, paid content): priced by agreement. Mention it before the work starts.
How payment works
A booking (usually 25%; the exact amount is set in your order terms) secures your place in the queue and counts toward the first half, which is paid before work starts. The second half is paid before the final files are handed over. Payment is in rubles; the dollar prices on this site are a guide at 100 ₽ to $1.
